Peace in our time

Finally, peace is in the offing in the Middle East.

And it’s all thanks to Barack Hussein Obama. The man who took the presidency of the United States and turned it into an agency of the AIF.

The AIF? That’s right. The Arab Intransigence Front.

Did I say “peace”? Sorry, I meant “change”.

The AIF consists of Libya and Syria, whose whose chain is yanked by Iran, while the Palestinian Arabs, for the first time since they started massacring Jews back in the 1920s, are finally able to relax and let their allies in Teheran and Washington take the strain.

Make no mistake: the Washington-Teheran-Damascus-Ramallah axis is out to create history. Arab moderation such as it existed in the reign of rulers like Egypt’s President Sadat and Jordan’s King Hussein is finished, what is emerging is the inexorable onward crush of fanatical despotism as dictated by the likes of Moammar Gaddafi (read also this piece on the Libyan dictator), Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Bashar Assad, Khaled Meshaal, Mahmoud Abbas and Hassan Nasrallah.

Obama won a landmark victory at home with his health-care reforms. Desperate to prove that his domestic success was no flash-in-the-pan proof of mere domestic prowess but that he really is big enough for his overseas boots too, he has carefully tested the wind, abandoned his country’s support for democracy and realigned the United States with whoever can make him look powerful, purposeful, decisive. In short, whoever can make him look like a winner.

Which by definition means the Jews pay.

Read below under “Related Links” what Hussein Obama is doing to create and support a new intransigent Arab Middle East, how he is planning to shelve Israel and how disrespectfully he is treating America’s foremost ally. Britain routinely executes alleged militants abroad in extrajudicial killings and even fights wars in areas as far apart as Iraq, Argentina and Afghanistan while continuing to occupy Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands. Nevertheless, Britain has taken its cue from its master, the Obama-led regime in Washington and in an unprecedented show of animosity has expelled an Israeli diplomat on account of unfounded allegations of Israeli complicity in the murder of a wanted terrorist in Dubai.

Britain’s extraordinarily duplicitous stance on the issue of targeted killings and the USA’s extraordinarily aggressive actions against its sole ally in the Middle East, Israel, are going to have far-reaching and long-lasting repercussions.

Israel may have been selected as the whipping-boy in Obama’s frenzied ego-trip, but it is a fact well known that when one has one’s back to the wall, the only alternative to voluntarily giving up one’s life is to come out fighting.

History has taught us that when pressed, Israel will come out fighting savagely.

The question is which regimes will be in power in Washington, Teheran, Damascus and Ramallah to pick up the pieces. Because just as Obama’s and Brown’s self-assigned policing activities in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia and Yemen result in alarming civilian casualties well beyond US and UK borders, so too do Israel’s US- and UK-enforced policing activities on its own doorstep look likely to result in large-scale casualties well beyond Israel’s borders.

Obama may want to look beyond his own reflection just long enough to consider what he is unleashing on countless people throughout the Middle East.

He’s certainly going to go down in history as a president to remember.

The question is, will he be remembered as a bumbling idiot or a man smart enough to realize his own limitations and take the advice of his betters.

Då blir deras hemöar obebodda för all framtid.

I Västindien...

There IS justice in this world.

Well, at least there is in the UK.

In Britain, Baroness Jenny Tonge, a Liberal Democrat lawmaker, hopped on the Swedish blood-libel bandwagon set in motion by Donald Boström (read also here, here, here, here and here).

Of course, they were far from alone. Al Jazeera, Iran, Syria, Egypt and countless others in the Arab and Islamic worlds all subscribed to the Boström/Tonge conspiracy theory whereby any allegation, however vile and unsubstantiated, may be leveled at the Jewish state of Israel with the demand that Israel should then spend its time and resources proving the allegations wrong. It is a deliberate strategy designed to slowly bleed the Jewish state to death through litigation, slander and diverted resources while inexorably stripping the nation of its legitimacy in the public consciousness.

From the viewpoint of morality it is the absolute opposite of that most fundamental tenet of western democracy – the presumption of innocence. It is a belief system that is applied universally in enlightened Western societies – except when it comes to the Jewish state.

Liberal Democrat party leader Nick Clegg has now sacked Jenny Tonge for her outrageous and unsubstantiated allegations that the Israel Defense Forces went to Haiti not to provide desperately needed aid in the aftermath of the catastrophe that tore the country apart, but merely to harvest human organs. Tonge's allegations were all the more bizarre bearing in mind her position in the Liberal Democrats as party health spokesman – a position designed to add weight to the slander.

Before she was removed from office, Baroness Tonge never saw fit in her official capacity as spokesperson on health issues to comment on the numerous documented cases of organ harvesting involving Palestinian Arabs. Of course, these cases of organ harvesting took place in the Muslim and Arab state of Jordan, rendering them automatically of no interest to her agenda. She also never either managed to issue a statement on the documented illegal traffic in human organs in the Muslim and Arab state of Egypt.

Commenting on what some might call the racist nature of Tonge's selectivity, party leader Nick Clegg said that Tonge’s remarks were “wrong, distasteful and provocative”. Baroness Tonge is hopefully now at her local Job Centre looking for work that does not involve verbal skills.

Hats off to Nick Clegg.

Justice of a totally different sort was dispensed this past week by Palestinian President-unelect Mahmoud Abbas.

According to the Palestinian constitution, his time at the helm passed its sell-by date some time ago but Abbas still keeps a firm grasp of the reins. Determined to put on a good show for the West, which via unfathomable – and often largely non-transparent – EU and UN funding bankrolls a Palestinian society not required to work, study, construct permanent housing, produce goods, stop systematic racist indoctrination or in any way contribute to the betterment of that society, Abbas recently appointed former Fatah intelligence official Mr Fahmi Shabaneh to investigate and stamp out corruption in official Palestinian society (i.e.Fatah).

Mr Shabaneh, who used to head the anti-corruption unit of the Palestinian GIS (General Intelligence Service), was however coerced into quitting his job after he uncovered several cases of financial, administrative and sexual corruption among PA President Mahmoud Abbas’s closest allies.

Thanks to his diligence in doing the job President Abbas asked him to do, Mr Shabaneh has now been accused of “collaboration with Israel” and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. The accusations against Shabaneh come from none other than PA President Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah party, and the warrant for Shabaneh’s arrest for uncovering the corruption has been issued by the same Fatah – which runs the PA government led by Mahmoud Abbas.

Out with the old, in with the ... well, same-old-same-old, really.

Transparency and justice usually go hand in hand.

In the UK as in any other civilized society that’s the way it works.

On the other hand we have the Palestinian Authority. Paid for by us.

The thunderous Palestinian Arab silence

In early November 2009, an Israeli Jew, Ya’acov Teitel, was arrested by Israeli police on suspicion of terrorism. His alleged victims were Arabs, and his motivation was political: violence as a strategy for political gain.

Here’s what the mainstream English-language Israeli press had to say:

Jerusalem Post: “Analysis: How many Jewish terrorists are still out there?
If the allegations against Ya'acov "Jack" Teitel are true, then the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) has succeeded in apprehending one of the most dangerous Jewish terrorists in recent years.”
Haaretz: Netanyahu: “Minority of violent far-rightists must be stopped
The Shin Bet revealed that it arrested Shvut Rachel resident Yaakov Teitel last month for allegedly killing two Palestinians.”
The paper goes on to say:
Following the arrest of a West Bank settler suspected of multiple murders and bomb attacks, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Israel must fight the terror posed by violent extreme rightists, whom he termed a ‘marginal minority’.”
PM Netanyahu continued:
“There is still among us a minority that is not prepared to accept democracy and are not prepared to accept the rule of law.” He then went on: “They do not represent the majority of the nation. They are a small and marginal group, but we have already seen the strength and damage of one murderer. We must continue to condemn the use of violence and to use all legal power against any attempt at violence.”
Israel’s Science and Technology Minister Daniel Hershkowitz said that he “categorically condemned the actions of the Jewish terrorist. It is the insane behavior of a lone man, one that is foreign to the ways of Judaism.”

No doubt then about the response of the Israeli media and the political establishment. A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.

Now fast forward a few weeks. Israeli Jewish father of seven Meir Chai was gunned down by Arabs following the removal of multiple security roadblocks at the insistence of Barack Hussein Obama, who is comfortably ensconced in the safety of the White House a few thousand miles away.

Here’s what the Israeli press had to say:

Jerusalem Post:
After months of quiet, a father of seven was shot dead in a drive-by shooting attack near the northern Samaria settlement of Shavei Shomron on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Meir Chai, a 45-year-old resident of the settlement and father of seven children ranging in age from two months to 18.
Chai was the fourth terror victim in the West Bank in 2009. In March, two policemen were shot dead in the Jordan Valley and in April, 13-year-old Shlomo Nativ was stabbed to death near his home in the Gush Etzion settlement of Bat Ayin.”
 Israel National News:
“Samaria Regional Council Head Gershon Mesika said following the terrorist murder of Rabbi Meir Chai from Samaria Thursday: “After a long period of security quiet, the main roadblock between Shavei Shomron and Tulkarm was recently opened, despite our warnings. The government of Israel preferred 'the Palestinian fabric of life' to its citizens' rights.
“An unnamed IDF officer told Haaretz that the terrorists who murdered Rabbi Chai most likely escaped through the abandoned checkpoint, which was removed shortly before the murder.
“The IDF's removal of roadblocks is widely perceived as a gesture toward US President Barack Obama, who has pressured Israel to make Arabs' "fabric of life" as comfortable as possible.”
Here is the response of the Palestinian media:

This is the response of the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas:

And here is the response of the Palestinian Prime Minister, Salam Fayyad:

Silence.

Israeli cartoonist Yaakov Kirschen sums it up neatly:

Visit Dry Bones and read Yaakov Kirschen’s incisive comments on the issue.

The only time Palestinian Arab media and politicians ever comment on Palestinian Arab terrorism is to commemorate their “heroic feats”.

Way to go, Barack Hussein Obama. Got any more experiments up your sleeve?
